On Instagram, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/nick-jonas-special-talents-video" target="_blank" rel="noopener">L'OFFICIEL cover star</a> shared a parody clip of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/inside-kamala-harris-san-franscisco-condo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a>'s meme-ified "We did it, Joe" video "calling" his own brother and bandmate Joe to share the good news.
He wrote in the caption, "Truly an honor to have already received the first preemptive 2021 #BBMAs award. Best host ever?! Wow! Tune-in May 23rd at 8pm ET/5pm PT on @nbc."

The "Blinding Lights" singer was notably <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/the-weeknd-boycotts-grammys-after-2021-snub" target="_blank" rel="noopener">snubbed</a> at this year's <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/2021-grammy-awards-red-carpet-dua-lipa-megan-thee-stallion-best-dressed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Grammy Awards</a>, however, it seems that the BBMAs, which are based on charting statistics, fully validate fans' positive feedback on the singer's <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/the-weeknd-spotify-wrapped-2020" target="_blank" rel="noopener">record-breaking</a> year.
<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/grammy-nominated-artists-to-know-2021" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DaBaby</a> comes in second for the most nominations with 11 nods in nine categories. His collaboration with fellow rapper Jack Harlow on the song "What's Poppin" earned him double nominations for Top Streaming Song and Top Collaboration.
Country singer Gabby Barrett also made a spectacular debut as a first-time nominee, receiving nine award nominations including Top New Artist, thus making her this year's most-nominated female artist.
