Hello, me again, here to tell you that for reasons unbeknownst to me, everyone is releasing new music today; from Kanye (maybe) to King Princess (finally) to James Blunt (you’re beautifulll, it’s trueee). Everyone except for FKA Twigs, of course, whose album was supposed to come out today, but is now set to be released November 8. (Well played.)
So, happy New Music Friday! We’ve compiled a list of eight of today’s releases for you. You are welcome.
Kanye West: Jesus is King
Much to Anna of the North’s dismay (see: her Instagram), Yeezus has (in theory) decided to drop Jesus is King today. Or so we heard from his Twitter. Do I believe Kanye? No. Am I willing to be pleasantly surprised? Yes.
UPDATE: It took 12 more hours than expected, but that elusive album is HERE. You can stream it below.

Anna of the North: Dream Girl
Our favourite Norwegian sweetheart has finally dropped her sophomore album (!!!). After releasing four singles, including “Playing Games” and “Dream Girl,” the rest of the LP is now available. Stream away, friends.

King Princess: Cheap Queen
All hail, King Princess’s debut album is here. The 20-year-old Brooklynite has developed a cult following since releasing her debut single, “1950,” in February of last year, so I, like the rest of her fans, have been eagerly anticipating this album. Thank god, the wait is over.

Rex Orange County: Pony
21-year-old Alexander O’Connor, AKA Rex Orange County, released his album Pony today. After the release of his second album, Apricot Princess, he co-wrote and contributed to two songs on Tyler, the Creator’s Flower Boy. This is Rex Orange County’s third album, but it’s his first that isn’t self-released. Fast times.

James Blunt: Once Upon A Mind
I told you everyone was releasing music today. James Blunt is no exception. The “You’re Beautiful” singer has actually been rather prolific since his major hit, releasing five albums since Back to Bedlam. “You’re Beautiful” still slaps, in case you were wondering. We tested it.

Armin van Buuren: Balance
Van Buuren’s seventh (seventh!) studio album, Balance, has arrived. The 42-year-old Dutch DJ, known for the Grammy-nominated “This Is What It Feels Like,” currently holds the record for most entries (21) on the Billboard Dance/Electronic albums chart, which, like, wow. Impressive. He last released an album four years ago, so we should all be grateful for this delivery.

Brooke Candy: Sexorcism
After a two-year delay, Brooke Candy’s debut album Sexorcism has dropped. The internet-famous rapper was initially supposed to release the album in spring 2017, but that got cancelled after she parted ways with RCA records. However, here we are! The long-awaited album has arrived, and for that, we are so very thankful.

Ringo Starr: What’s My Name
I’ll be honest, I personally haven’t been keeping tabs on what former-Beatle Ringo Starr has been up to, but I heard he was on tour this summer alongside his punny “All-Starr Band,” and I do know that he, like apparently everyone else, dropped a new album today. What’s My Name is Starr’s 20th studio album (same), and it includes a cover of “Grow Old With Me” by John Lennon, on which Paul McCartney also features.
