Less than a week after the power couple announced their separation, the musician has already released a breakup song. 

After breaking the internet with news of her separation from husband Liam Hemsworth, Miley Cyrus surprised the world with a new single, &ldquo;Slide Away,&rdquo; that alludes to the dramatic breakup. &nbsp;The opening lyrics read, &quot;Once upon a time, it was paradise / Once upon a time, I was paralyzed / Think I&#39;m gonna miss these harbor lights / But it&#39;s time to let it go.&quot; As the two slide away from each other amidst a sea of rumors, this latest track seems like a final documentation of the power duo&rsquo;s relationship.

A rep told The Associated Press on Saturday that the pair decided a break was best in order to focus on &ldquo;themselves and [their] careers,&rdquo; but they will remain &ldquo;dedicated parents to all of their animals they share.&rdquo; With the release of Cyrus&rsquo;s latest heartbreaking bop, some fans are feeling for Hemsworth&nbsp;as his media presence has been relatively quiet. Under a calming sunset Instagram post, the Australian actor simply wrote, &quot;Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.&quot; It&#39;s worth noting, though, that rumors have gotten really ugly over the past week with the ex-couple facing each other&#39;s accusations&nbsp;of infidelity (Cyrus) and drug abuse (Hemsworth), so it&#39;s best to take all sentiments and posts with a grain of salt while letting the drama (and music) unfold.

Meanwhile, Cyrus has&nbsp;turned up the volume on her publicity buzz, as a reported budding romance with Kaitlynn Carter has surfaced amidst the release of her new song. In her own reflections, the musician wrote, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t fight evolution, because you will never win, like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once underwater, connected with Africa, change is inevitable,&rdquo; she wrote. &ldquo;My dad always told me &#39;Nature never hurries but it is always on time&#39;.... it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own.&quot;&nbsp;

Who knows what the future holds for these two, but the Black Mirror star&rsquo;s new music makes it seem like she&rsquo;s ready to move on. Although she might miss those harbor lights, which could be referring to their Malibu home, only time will tell whether or not the couple sees the light of day again.
