Justin Bieber Announces New Album 'Justice'
It's a good day to be a Belieber. Just over a year after the release of Changes, Justin Bieber is back with a brand new album Justice. The 26-year-old singer announced his sixth studio album on social media, sharing the cover art for the project. The collection of songs will feature his recent singles "Holy," "Lonely," and "Anyone." According to Bieber, the record will touch on the tragedies of the past year and, hopefully, offer fans a form of solace.
"In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity," said the singer in an Instagram caption. "In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone."
He continued, "Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless. Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. Music can be a way to relate to one another and connect with one another. I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united. This is me doing a small part. My part. I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal."
Like many musicians, Bieber's touring plans were disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, however, he did collaborate with Ariana Grande on the song "Stuck with U" and its subsequent music video, which both singers shot from their respective homes. Bieber was also featured with fellow Candanian Shawn Mendes on his song "Monster." The duet was released as a single for Mendes' recent album Wonder.
Fans can pre-order and pre-save Justice now. The album is slated to drop March 19th.
