Our Red Carpet Predictions for the Grammy Awards
Awards season calls for all of us to suddenly become the fashion police when it comes to who's wearing what on the red carpet.
The 60th Annual Grammys will air live on Sunday from New York this year, which means musicians will probably have to brace for the cold on the carpet (sorry, no LA weather here), while simultaneously giving us their best. While we wait impatiently for Sunday, we've roundup some Spring 2018 looks that we think (and hope) our favorite artists will choose.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is known to go extra bold on the red carpet. But we're not so sure this year. Yesterday, she released a stripped and down-to-earth version of her single "Joanne," and is apparently expected to perform it at the Grammys. She could choose to wear a power suit instead—an all white suit by Brandon Maxwell, her favorite designer. Or one a bit more glam, like Balmain's.
SZA
The 27-year-old singer is the most Grammy-nominated woman in 2018, including Best New Artist. We'll be expecting SZA to walk down the red carpet with a strong, powerful look. Not to mention, she'll need something sturdy while she holds all of those awards (just in case).
Dua Lipa
The young British artist channels sporty and '90s grunge with ease, so of course our obvious predictions would be edgy, cool-girl looks from the Spring 2018 ready-to-wear shows.
Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey always dons on a classic, timeless look that can never go wrong. Paired with red lipstick and a classic '50s or '60s hairstyle, her long gowns never fail to impress.
Kesha
The pop star is up for two nominations this year and she reportedly will give a powerful performance of her song "Praying." In the past, Kesha has been fearless on the carpet (and unpredictable), from a tulle pale pink gown to purple suit with a tie. But one thing is constant—her rockstar vibes.
Childish Gambino
Childish Gambino, also known as Donald Glover, is an actor, director, singer, songwriter— the list goes on. His album Awaken, My Love! is nominated for Album of the Year. He's a big deal this year. He keeps his red carpet style classy with velvet suits, turtle necks, and sometimes even print shirts. Perhaps we'll see Fendi or Gucci on him.
