Frank Ocean to Headline Coachella 2023
The elusive artist has officially rescheduled his highly anticipated Coachella performance.
Between DaBaby drama and the Delta variant, this year's music festival season has been rife with controversy. Thankfully, future festivalgoers will have something to look forward to: an elusive Frank Ocean performance.
In 2023, R&B legend Frank Ocean will headline Southern California's famed Coachella festival, revealed in an exclusive for the Los Angeles Times. This news comes after the artist was unable to perform at the originally scheduled 2020 event due to COVID-19. While Coachella will also take place in 2022, Ocean was not available for the April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022 dates.
Ocean is revered for both his musical prowess and relative anonymity. Since 2012, when he first performed at Coachella, he has only released two studio albums (2012's Channel Orange and 2016's Blonde) and a scattering of singles and features. Ocean rarely performs live, only amping up the anticipation for his Coachella set.
So far, Ocean is the only artist revealed as a part of Coachella's 2023 lineup. As for the 2022 festival, headliners include Rage Against the Machine and L'OFFICIEL Hommes star Travis Scott.
