If there's one thing we know about Charli XCX's upcoming album, Charli, it's that it's going to be major. The pop artist teamed up with a number of powerful figures in music for the project, and after already dropping four exciting collaborations ("Blame It on Your Love" with Lizzo, "Gone" with Christine and the Queens, "Cross You Out" with Sky Ferreira, and in case you forgot, "1999" with Troye Sivan), she got bored-slash-excited and decided to release a fifth single. This time, the sisters of HAIM feature in a track called "Warm," and its dreamy, futuristic vibes are the perfect way to ease into the end of summer this Labor Day Weekend.

The new song is three minutes and 45 seconds of reflection tailored for getting through the fizzling of a summer fling or simply moving on from any feeling that's died. Over and over, Charli receives harmonious accompaniment from HAIM as she sings, "You gotta tell me the reason why we can't fall in love / You gotta tell me the reason why you won't open up." The song questions why the passion she craves in this relationship isn't there, repeatedly asking "What do you want?", but there's also something soft about the gentle background music and beautiful harmonies.  "Warm" is a breakup song for someone who, rather than getting deep into anger and depression, is in the mood for calmly processing the bittersweet moment. Almost hypnotic, but still aware of the situation, the lyrics are versatile and relatable without overwhelming the listener. You can listen to the track below.

When Charli drops two weeks from today, the world will finally be able to hear the ten other songs on the project, a moment fans have been anticipating for nearly a year as "1999" debuted in October 2018. And with the powerful collaborations that have dropped so far, mostly with other female forces, the new album is sure to have people talking as they get a first listen. The full tracklist is available, giving us a taste of what to get excited about: think "Click" featuring Kim Petras and Tommy Cash, "February 2017" featuring Clairo and Yaeji, and additional collaborations as well as a few solo songs.

Undoubtedly, momentum is strong for Charli's upcoming tour, which starts September 20 in Atlanta. With Tommy Genesis, Brooke Candy, Dorian Electra, and Allie X all taking turns as opening acts, each concert is sure to be exciting from start to finish. Will HAIM or any of the other collaborators make guest appearances on any of the dates? We will have to wait and see, but that would surely be a moment to remember.
