Today, BØRNS has unveiled the latest track off his highly anticipated sophomore album, Blue Madonna (Jan 12). "God Save Our Young Blood" is a collaboration with Lana Del Rey, and the pair are a match made in Americana heaven. The song begins with a dreamy mélange between the two singers, with their respective voices almost indistinguishable from one another. They wax poetic about watching the sunrise and spinning under blue skies and green lights. The chorus comes crashing in with what appear to be church organs, and a plea to a higher power to protect their youthful innocence.
Del Rey recently shared her excitement for BØRNS's new album on Instagram, calling it "one of the craziest, best records" she's heard in years. So far, we've heard "Faded Heart," "Sweet Dreams," and "I Don't Want You Back." The album will be a follow-up to 2015's Dopamine, which was met with critical acclaim, and numerous successful singles, including "Electric Love" and "10,000 Emerald Pools."
