Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj Are Saying Goodbye to the Darkness
Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj are on a two-part mission: part one is to save pop music. Check. Part two, to bring light to a very dark-as-of-late world. Check, check. The self-proclaimed sister duo has been effortlessly delivering when it comes to tour announcements, social media posting, exciting life news, and of course, new music releases.
Their latest masterpiece came yesterday, in the form of the Pharrell Williams-produced new wave track "The Light Is Coming," which functions as both club banger and video game soundtrack. Of course, Grande always goes above and beyond, so rather than just release the song, she decided to premiere the music video for it as well. Upon hitting play, Minaj sets the scene wearing a pair of pearl-embellished Gucci Rectangular Frames and black lacquer puffer jacket, while Grande enters holding an illuminated orb before scurrying around a rave-like forest.
It premiered on Reebok's website; a fitting choice considering she rocks a pair of their signature kicks in the Dave Meyers-directed clip.
