Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, BTS, and More to Perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards
For the 64th Grammy Awards, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, and more will perform at the coveted event.
The Recording Academy has unveiled the first list of artists who will grace the stage at this year's 2022 Grammy Awards according to Variety. Of the nominees, Olivia Rodgrio, BTS, Billie Eilish, Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, and Lil Nas X along with Jack Harlow are just a few of the acts confirmed by the Academy thus far.
First-time nominee Rodrigo and seven-time Grammy winner Eilish both received seven nods, sharing nominations in the Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video.
Two-time Grammy winner Lil Nas X also received an Album of the Year nomination for Montero (Call Me By Your Name), as well as one for Record of the Year for his song "Industry Baby" alongside Harlow, who received a nomination for Album of the Year and Best Melodic Rap Performance for his contributions to the album.
Past Grammy performer and six-time winner, Brandi Carlile, racked up five nominations: Record of the Year for "Right on Time," Song of the Year for "Right of Time" and "A Beautiful Noise" featuring Alicia Keys, Best Pop Solo Performance for "Right on Time," and Best American Roots Performance for "Same Devil."
Other top nominees include Jon Batiste leading the pack with 11 nominations, as well as Justin Bieber and Doja Cat who are both nominated for some of this year's major awards including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.
The 2022 Grammys will be held at a new location this year, Las Vegas's MGM Grand Arena, and on a new date, April 3, after the Academy ultimately made the decision to postpone the ceremony in January due to the spike in COVID-19 cases globally due to the Omicron variant.
The ceremony, which will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and streaming will be available via Paramount+.
