Prada transported nature indoors to set the stage for its Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection, a deliberate move aimed at reconnecting humanity with the great outdoors. Transforming their showroom into a nature-inspired haven, a man-made stream flowed beneath a plexiglass floor, whispering over rocks and rustling leaves. The fashion elite, perched on strategically arranged blue office chairs that formed a swirling runway, witnessed the exploration of the tension between the natural and working realms.

The debut look unveiled the collection's hero: vibrant headwear snugly embracing models' heads, reminiscent of swim caps. Starting in red, this futuristic beanie seamlessly transitioned through shades of purple, brown, green, white, grey, navy, and black. A backstage examination revealed the accessory's warming, waffle-like texture that effortlessly enveloped the head.

Monotone turtlenecks, harmonizing with the headwear, graced the collection, along with cardigans in bright lime and red layering over pastel-toned T-shirts, adorned with vivid conductor hats. Yellow, black, and brown balaclavas made sporadic appearances under sweaters. Woollen peacoats, trenches, and overcoats opted for neutral tones, aligning with their leather and nylon counterparts. Belts demanded attention, showcasing oversized, jagged iterations that cinched models' waists. Tailored for work, leather bags were spacious enough to accommodate full-size laptops. For an outdoor touch, vibrant sandals added a playful finish to otherwise formal ensembles, while shiny dress shoes stood ready for the professional arena.

The show notes encapsulated the essence, stating, "This collection is about something basic – the emotional instinct to remain attached to something that we know, the cycles of nature. A world with seasons, with weather, not an artificial reality. These clothes reflect the idea of the environment and of the seasons – wherever you may live. There is a sense of the outdoors, of the actuality of nature, and a direct expression of the desire to go outside, to experience the world."
