The Scottish painter will collaborate with Jones for Dior Mens' latest collection.

Scottish painter <a href="http://www.moma.org/artists/8087">Peter Doig</a> is the latest artist selected by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/dior-men-kim-jones-kenny-scharf-fall-winter-2021">Kim Jones</a>&nbsp;&mdash; Dior&#39;s artistic director of menswear &mdash;&nbsp;to collaborate on a&nbsp;Dior Men&#39;s collection. Jones&#39; work with the French fashion house has a strong <a href="http://www.lofficielusa.com/art/Fendis-italian-architecture-inspires-new-art">artistic bent</a>, his most recent collaborations being made in conjunction with important references in the art world such as Ghanaian painter&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/Amoako-Boafo-dior-mens-spring-2021">Amoako Boafo</a> and American sculpterer&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/dior-men-kim-jones-kenny-scharf-fall-winter-2021">Kenny Scharf</a>.

Known for capturing haunting landscapes in his pictorial work, Doig has built a solid artistic career over the past three decades. His unrivaled technique embraces the traditions of narrative painting, abstraction, and contemporary elements of popular culture, notions that result in fascinating color paintings. Under a truly moving gaze, the artist develops visual stories that return to man&#39;s relationship with nature.

Originally from Scotland, Doig grew up in Trinidad and Canada, and the artist&#39;s multi-cultural upbringing is palpable in his work. In 1979, Doig settled in the city of London to study painting. Since then, the artist has divided&nbsp;his time between England and Trinidad, constantly reimagining the means to achieve deep <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/artist-bianca-bondi-interview-still-waters">meaning in art</a>.

His exceptional work has earned him critical acclaim since the 1990s. Thanks to him, the conversation around painting took a complete turn, and his creative vision has been the subject of several retrospectives&nbsp;in renowned museums around the world. In 2013, his exhibition <a href="https://www.studiointernational.com/index.php/peter-doig-no-foreign-lands">No Foreign Lands</a>&nbsp;was shown&nbsp;with great success at the Scottish National Gallery in&nbsp;Edinburgh, which later moved to the Mus&eacute;e Des Beaux-Arts in Montreal.

The collaboration between Doig and Jones will be realized in the Dior Men&#39;s Fall/Winter 2021 collection, which will show on January 22 during Paris Men&#39;s Fashion Week.
