The liars are back and creepier than ever—well, a new set of liars. A Pretty Little Liars reboot, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, begins streaming today and follows a completely new cast in a completely new town. But in honor of the reboot, it only felt right to take a look back at the cast and seven-year show that started it all.

After the disappearance of their best friend Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse), ex-best friends Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) all find themselves receiving threatening text messages from someone named A. The group ultimately bands together to solve the mystery and take down the anonymous attacker.

Take a look with L'OFFICIEL as we break down seven of the biggest plot twists from the original show.

Mona is A.

By the end of the show, there were multiple A's, who had all done evil things to the liars. But who was the first? Mona. At the end of Season 2, Mona (Janel Parrish) was revealed to be the evil character torturing the girls. In the classic black hoodie, she threatens Spencer to join the "A-team" only to fall off the edge of a cliff. Spoiler: she survives.

Alison is found alive.

Fans learned one of the show's biggest secrets during Season 4. When the four liars come face to face with the mysterious "Red Coat" figure, and the individual finally turns around, it is revealed to be Alison DiLaurentis. Her first words? "Did you miss me?"

The girls are kidnapped and trapped in a dollhouse.

And yes, it was just as creepy as it sounds. At one point, the four liars and Mona, who is forced to act as Alison, are all trapped in a life-size dollhouse–which features exact replicas of their own bedrooms at home— and are tortured by A through incredibly creepy means. Oh, and essentially prisoners in the dollhouse, the main four are forced to wear orange jumpsuits.

Spencer and Caleb get together.

While this might not have been a scary plot twist, it definitely left fans screaming—some, with joy, and others, with anger. In Season 6, after seasons of Haleb (Hanna and Caleb) and seasons of Spoby (Spencer and Toby), this pair took fans by surprise. Sure, Hanna was engaged to someone else, but all bets are always off in Rosewood.

Ezra Miller talks to a girl while filming Pretty Little Liars.
Ezra is not A.

Despite the fact that it seemed like the teacher turned boyfriend could be A, it turns out Ezra was innocent—well, kinda. He had plans for something else—he was planning to write a book about Alison's disappearance. And he had only gotten close to Aria to gain information about her life.

Cece Drake is A...and is related to Alison.

In season six, fans learn that A is actually Cece Drake (Vanessa Ray). But there's more—Cece Drake is just a fake name. Turns out, her real name is Charlotte. And Charlotte is a transgender woman, previously Charles DiLaurentis, who just so happens to be Alison's cousin. While Pretty Little Liars has seen its fair share of family drama, this reveal clearly takes the cake.

Spencer has an evil twin sister.

Despite clues pointing to the fact that Spencer had a secret, evil twin, suspicions were confirmed in the season finale when Alex Drake and Spencer finally meet. As the episode nears the end, fans see Alex trap both Ezra and Spencer. However, the rest of the liars, Mona, Caleb, and Toby sweep in at just the right moment. Perplexed at first, Spencer's friends don't know which twin is the real Spencer. But Toby ultimately saves the day. He says, "Tell me your favorite poem from the book you gave me." And of course, only the real Spencer knows the answer.
