Who is Nicholas Galitzine?
The 27-year-old actor is set to star in the upcoming films Red, White, and Royal Blue and The Idea of You.
If you've been looking for your next movie night film chances are you've come across Purple Hearts. It's impossible not to be taken with the unlikely love story, catchy song covers, and of course, the movie's dreamy soldier played by Nicholas Galitzine. Although the Netflix film has caused a spike in Galitzine's popularity, it's not his first lead role.
Galitzine's acting career began with a starring role in The Beat Beneath My Feet where he both played teenager Tom and sang several movies for the soundtrack. The English actor was then featured in multiple TV shows including High Strung and Handsome Devil.
The last few years have been busy for Galitzine. The actor booked his first major television show in 2019 as Elliott in the Netflix horror series Chambers and has since been seemingly everywhere. He played Timmy in The Craft: Legacy, a sequel to the iconic film The Craft.
But perhaps what cemented Galitzine's status as Hollywood's latest heartthrob is his role in the 2020 Cinderella where he played Prince Robert alongside Camila Cabello and sang multiple songs for the soundtrack. Galitzine went on to play a prince once again in the 2022 film adaptation of Red, White, & Royal Blue, capturing audiences with his swoon-worthy smile and effortless charm.
Last month, Amazon Prime Video announced that Galitzine will star alongside Anne Hathaway in the film adaption of the Robinne Lee novel The Idea of You. The story follows a 40-year-old mother who brings her daughter to see the boy band August Moon and ends up making a connection with one of its young members.
In addition to acting, Galitzine recently debuted his first single entitled "Comfort." Although he has sung for movie soundtracks, this is his first song released under his name.
With so many lead roles under his belt, musical talent, and good looks it's safe to say we'll be seeing much more of Galitzine, and we can't wait to see what's next in his career.
