Sebastian Stan is one of this generation's biggest heartthrobs and most notable actors. From playing Bucky Barnes in some of Marvel's hit films, like Captain America and The Winter Soldier, to portraying Tommy Lee in Hulu's new TV series Pam & Tommy, Stan has been killing it in the acting game over the last few years. Now, he stars alongside Daisy Edgar Jones in Mimi Cave's new horror film Fresh. As Stan becomes more and more involved in pop culture, the actor is definitely someone you want to know. He was born in Romania.
Stan was born in Constanța, Romania in 1982. After eight years of living in the country, he moved to the Austrian capital of Vienna. His mother then decided to move again when he was 12 to New York City, where Stan has lived for the majority of his life.
He's bilingual.
Stan grew up with Romanian as his first language. As he moved around he began to learn English. However, despite not still living in Romania, Stan can still speak the language and has even spoken in the language for some of his acting features.
He played the male lead in Hayden Panettiere's "Wake Up Call" music video.
In the wake of top 2000s pop music, Stan made his music video debut in Hayden Panettiere's "Wake Up Call." Stan is the rude, unattentive boyfriend in Panettiere's fictional world. Although he plays a bad guy, we can't help but love him.
He's the godson of Anastasia Soare, the founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills.
There always seems to be odd connections between famous people, and Sebastian Stan has one of his own. His godmother, Anastasia Soare, is the founder of the famous Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetic company. His godmother is known for her company's famous brow pomade, so it's no surprise he has amazing eyebrows.
He's been in three movies that have been nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

As he was playing Jeff Gillooly in the biopic of Tanya Harding, Stan had the opportunity to meet his character in real life. In an interview with Variety, Stan said, "Two weeks before shooting, I met with him. It was bizarre sitting across from the person you’ve been looking at and listening to. I had the tapes from his meeting with Steven and had been listening to him over and over again. It was surreal at first. We met at a restaurant and had dinner."

Most people would be starstruck when working alongside Meryl Streep. However, when working on Ricki & The Flash, Stan was more starstruck by Rick Springfield than Streep! In an interview with Buzzfeed Stan said, "was personally very much more concerned about Rick Springfield, because I love him and 'Jesse's Girl.'"
