How to Stream New "Euphoria" Episode Early
Euphoria fans have waited over a year to learn the fate of the beloved teen drug addict Rue (Emmy Award Winner Zendaya), however, HBO Max subscribers won't have to wait much longer. The show's newest episode, which premieres on December 6, will be available on the streaming platform tomorrow, December 3 at 12 a.m. EST/9 p.m. PST.
A second season of the hit show was set to start filming in March of this year. However, just days before shooting, production was halted indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In October, it was reported, much to fans' delight, that HBO had ordered two episodes to air between seasons one and two, to fill the space between seasons. Earlier this week, production released a short trailer for the first of these specials, titled "Trouble Don't Last Always." The story will pick up after the season one finale, as Rue celebrates the holidays with her family.
Last summer, the breakout series gave viewers new faces (newcomers Angus Cloud, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi made names for themselves as rising stars), new music (British singer Labrinth composed the score and soundtrack for the series), and new beauty trends (the glittering Euphoria eye was everywhere from the runway to the club). Nothing short of a cultural moment, the long-awaited season two has much to live up to.
Viewers last saw Rue and her friends on the night of the winter formal. Rue asks Jules (Schafer) to runaway together, but after a change of heart, Jules leaves Rue at the station and boards the train alone. What follows is an electrifying dance number involving a gospel choir, a marching band, and a mountain of red hoodies that had everyone wondering: is Rue dead? Find out her fate in Euphoria's new episode December 6 or December 3 for HBO Max subscribers.
