The First Trailer for A Star Is Born Is Finally Here
The first trailer for A Star Is Born is finally here, marking Bradley Cooper's directorial debut as well as Lady Gaga's first leading role. In it, he plays Jackson Maine, a fictional country singer who discovers struggling musician Ally (Gaga) and catapults her into fame. But with her success comes his destruction, resulting in a love story that rivals Walk the Line and will no doubt hold its own compared to earlier versions (starring Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand, no less) of the SIB story.
The visual features clips of original songs written by Gaga and Cooper, as well as Lukas Nelson, Dave Cobb, and Jason Isbell. All the music was recorded live, which will no doubt generate heavy Oscar buzz thanks to the magic of sound engineer Steve Morrow (La La Land).
