American actress, model, and executive producer Sarah Michelle Gellar became widely known for her role as Buffy Summers on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for which she won six Teen Choice Awards, the Saturn Award for Best Genre TV Actress, and a Golden Globe Award nomination. Gellar first met her now-husband and fellow '90s co-star Freddie Prinze Jr. while on the set of the 1997 teen horror classic I Know What You Did Last Summer.
