Ruby Rose Is the Batwoman of Our Dreams
Ruby Rose is nearly unrecognizable as Batwoman in the first teaser photo released by The CW for her highly-anticipated character. Wearing a black cape and with a crown of fiery red locks as she stands determinedly below a glowing Bat Signal in the sky— The network has enlisted the actor for their annual superhero crossover event, which brings together fellow super\heroes like The Flash and Supergirl in an exciting DC universe mashup.
To add an element of social justice to the usual patrolling duties on the streets Gotham, Rose’s character is said to be “An out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.”
“Batwoman” will be making her on-screen debut during The CW’s special televised event on Dec. 9, and a separate, dedicated show is also in development for the 2019-2020 television season. Though the teaser photo alone has already sent fervent fans into a frenzy, be sure to keep your bat ears tuned and at attention for the special episode’s release.
