Kardashians Talk Ending 'Keeping Up' in Latest Episode
The sisters will end their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians this June after 20 seasons.
After 20 seasons of family drama, fashion moments, and soooo many salads, the Kardashian klan announced late last year that the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians would be the show's last. Last night, viewers watched as Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé Kardashian gathered with their mother Kris Jenner to discuss whether or not they want to continue. Says Kim, “It is really scary. It’s a big change to say ‘We’re not doing this anymore.’ And then what are we going to do when we wake up?”
The Skims founder continues in a confessional, “We love being on camera. We love sharing our lives. We love that whole aspect of it. Just so many factors have come into our lives since we’re so busy, and we have to just think about what we want out of life, and what we want together and what we’ve built, and do we walk away from that?”
“I am a newly really decisive person in life,” says Kourtney, earning a laugh from her sisters. “Any decision anyone needs to know: Boom. I got your answer.” When asked her thoughts on the matter, she explains that she felt "it was time" last year, saying, "I feel like it's not making sense."
While Khloé is a bit more hesitant to accept such a big change, Kris tells her daughters, "We're never going to be able to open a new chapter if we don't close this one."
However, though the ladies are firm in their decision to end the show, they can't help but get emotional when having to inform the crew. “I hope you guys feel respected and appreciated because even if we don't say it I think of you guys as my second family and I know we're all really really grateful," says Khloé as she and the crew members get choked up. "When it's happy, it's happy, but when people are there for you when life fucking sucks, that's what matters."
While this is certainly the end of an era, the KarJen family won't be away from your televisions for too long. In December 2020, the family inked a deal with Disney and Hulu for "new global content" which is expected to debut later this year.
