Jared Leto is known for taking on dramatic transformations in the name of acting, but nothing can prepare you for his new look in the upcoming Ridley Scott film House of Gucci. The actor stars as Paolo Gucci, the cousin of Maurizio Gucci and grandson to the fashion brand's founder Guccio Gucci. In new photos from the set, Leto is seen in character, fitted with balding grey hair and a bushy mustache—a far cry from his usual long brown locks and well-groomed beard.

The film focuses on the widely-reported murder of Maurizio by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani. The couple will be played by Adam Driver and Lady Gaga. Last week, the singer shared a photo of the two in character while filming in Italy, setting social media ablaze over their iconic '90s ensembles. While the two actors are certainly skilled at immersing themselves into their roles, the movie's use of vintage Gucci pieces likely helps with the acting process.

In a recent conversation with WWD, Gucci's president Marco Bizzarri said that the film would be given complete access to the brand's archives, giving the production "total creative freedom." He said, "Gucci is collaborating with MGM and Scott Free Productions by providing access to the house’s historical archive for wardrobe and props."

The movie also stars Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons as Aldo and Rodolfo Gucci, Maurizio's uncle and father. While the cast is currently filming in Italy, the project is schedule to premiere November 24, 2021.
