Jada Pinkett-Smith Will Talk Oscars Slap on New 'Red Table Talk'
The new episode will deal with how "The Slap" has impacted the Smith family.
Jada Pinkett Smith is finally going to give a never-before-seen version of what happened during the 2022 Oscars when her husband Will Smith took the stage and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about the actress while presenting one of the night's awards.
In the first episode of the new season of Red Table Talk, her talk show where she discusses different topics alongside her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and her daughter, Willow Smith, the Girl's Trip star explained that the show will not directly address what happened, but rather how she and her family will share the "discoveries" that have emerged.
A statement released by the show reads: "Given everything that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing. Some of the discoveries surrounding our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls. Until then... table will continue to offer powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest. Thank you for joining us, Jada."
