Everything We Know about Meghan Markle’s New Netflix Show
The Duchess of Sussex is set to make her Netflix re-debut with her own cooking and gardening series.
Meghan Markle is set to host a new cooking and lifestyle show on Netflix, as confirmed by Deadline on April 11. The series is currently in early development and will focus on Meghan exploring her pleasures and hobbies of cooking, gardening, and entertaining.
The show coincides with the release of Markle's newest lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is set to be released sometime this spring.
Neither the title or the release date for the series have been announced yet, but it is in the early stages of production as of April.
Meghan will take on the starring role in the series, which is produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation. We can speculate that the show may follow a similar format to Selena Gomez's cooking show, Selena + Chef, as they will have the same producer, Leah Hariton.
It's unclear whether Prince Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet, will make appearances in the show. In their previous Netflix docuseries "Harry & Meghan," the couple allowed some filming in their home, including footage of their children. Whether Meghan's new series will involve family appearances or guest stars remains to be seen, but Meghan has a wide network of high-profile friends and could potentially invite special guests, similar to Selena Gomez's format in her show.
Along with Markle's newest Netflix show on the horizon, her husband, Prince Harry, will also be getting a Netflix contract that will dive into the world of professional polo, a sport that Harry has always been fond of. The series will primarily be filmed at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, held at the USPA National Polo Center.
