Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011)
In her first major role on the big screen, Olsen plays Martha, a young woman on the run from a religious cult who finds solace with her estranged sister, played by Sarah Paulson. In Kill Your Darlings, Elizabeth Olsen plays Edie Parker, wife of author Jack Kerouac in a biographical thriller directed by John Krokidas. Wind River (2017)
Based on a true story, Wind River centers on an FBI agent, played by Olsen, and wildlife officer, played by Jeremy Renner, who are investigating the murder of a young woman on a Native American reservation. The duo soon find that their lives are in danger in this mystery thriller
Kodachrome (2017)
This drama, which stars Olsen alongside Ed Harris and Jason Sudeikis, is based on a New York Times article detailing the last photo lab that developed Kodachrome film. In the film, the trio set out on a road trip in an attempt to reach the Kansas photo lab before it closes its doors for good.
