Olivia Rodrigo Announces New Disney+ Movie 'Driving Home 2 U'
After having major success with her debut album, the alt-pop sensation is releasing a movie about its creation.
After teasing fans with an ominous Instagram post captioned "tomorrow," the "Driver's License" singer announced that she is releasing a movie about her debut album Sour on Disney+. Coming to the streaming platform on March 25, Driving Home 2 U explores the creation of the album and features new arrangements of the songs.
The film follows Rodrigo from Salt Lake City, Utah, where she started writing the album to Los Angeles, California. Along the way, Rodrigo and her band stop at different notable attractions, such as the Mojave Airplane Boneyard and the Red Rock Canyon State Park, to perform the new editions of the songs from Sour. As she progresses through her journey, Rodrigo shares the behind-the-scenes stories of each of the songs. She meets special guests, such as Jacob Collier, Blu DeTiger, and Towa Bird, along her trip as well.
The film debuts on Disney+ right before the 2022 Grammys, where Rodrigo is nominated for nine different awards. Be sure to get your Disney+ subscription ready for Driving Home 2 U.
