'The Devil Wears Prada' Cast Reuniting on Zoom for Charity Auction
Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci will join one lucky fan on an exclusive video chat.
Calling all fans of The Devil Wears Prada—you now have the chance to wear your best cerulean blue and meet the cast.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Lollipop Theater Network is offering one individual the opportunity of a lifetime: a private Zoom session with Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. The prize is up for bidding in a charity auction to benefit the theater. The winner will get to talk to the actors for 10 minutes and ask their biggest questions about the film.
"We are so thrilled to be celebrating our 20th anniversary with our amazing partners at Charitybuzz and the incredibly talented cast of The Devil Wears Prada," said Lollipop Theater Network's Executive Director Evelyn Iocolano.
She continued, "We have seen the tremendous impact that these kinds of interactions have on our young patients, and now one lucky bidder will have the chance to experience it themselves, all while contributing much-needed funds to keep our programs up and running! Here's to the next 20 years of Lollipop!"
While Lollipop Theater Network is celebrating its own milestone, The Devil Wears Prada just turned 15, prompting several cast members to open up about behind-the-scenes moments from set. Streep told Entertainment Weekly that struggled with playing such a cold character.
“It was horrible! I was miserable in my trailer,” the actress explained. “I could hear [the cast and crew] all rocking and laughing. I was so depressed! I said, ‘Well, it’s the price you pay for being boss’.”
She added, "That’s the last time I ever attempted a Method [acting] thing!"
Hathaway also previously shared that she was the ninth choice to play the leading role, Andy Sachs. "I was the ninth choice for The Devil Wears Prada," she recalled during a guest appearance on RuPaul's Drag Race. "But I got it. Hold on and never give up!"
