The young actress and activist has superhuman powers in a new movie, The Darkest Minds.  

Rue finally gets the revolution she deserves.&nbsp;

The Hunger Games breakout star will play in a new adapted film about superhuman teens fighting the government in a dystopian world. In the trailer for The Darkest Minds, 16-year-old Ruby (Sternberg) raises her hand and leads a rebellion of teens&nbsp;who develop superpowers after a plague wiped out the majority of&nbsp;children. The <a href="http://ew.com/movies/2018/03/28/the-darkest-minds-trailer-amandla-stenberg/" onclick="window.open(this.href, '', 'resizable=no,status=no,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,fullscreen=no,scrollbars=no,dependent=no'); return false;">movie</a> is based on the young-adult&nbsp;novel written by Alexandra Bracken, and is produced by the people&nbsp;behind Stranger Things and Arrival. This isn&#39;t the first film adaptation for Sternberg. Besides last year&#39;s Everything, Everything, she will also star in a&nbsp;movie based on the best-selling novel&nbsp;<a href="http://deadline.com/2017/09/anthony-mackie-kian-lawley-the-hate-u-give-amandla-stenberg-fox-1202167809/" onclick="window.open(this.href, '', 'resizable=no,status=no,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,fullscreen=no,scrollbars=no,dependent=no'); return false;">The Hate U Give</a>,&nbsp;alongside co-stars Issa Rae and Sabrina Carpenter.&nbsp;
