Victoria Beckham Celebrates Ten Years At London Fashion Week
Victoria Beckham showed her namesake label's Spring 2019 collection yesterday at London Fashion Week, marking the brand's ten year anniversary and return to the designer's hometown. She describes the collection as a sort of homage to the brand's past; "This collection looks back, but also forward – it explores the codes of the brand, the identity I’ve built up over the ten years since my first show," says Beckham. "Fluid lines, a mix of masculine and feminine, print, an arresting mix of unusual colors – these are our codes."
The collection is functional, comfortable, and minimalistic as always, and she describes it as an offering of choice; "There are slender and wide trousers, midi and full-length skirts, eased shapes and fitted forms," she says. "Brocade and satin, tailoring and fluidity."
