Vetements Announces Return to the Runway
Just when we thought Fashion Week was losing its luster.
Earlier this year, audible gasps could be heard in the fashion industry when it was announced that Demna Gvasalia's cult label Vetements would stop showing at Fashion Week in order to pursue other presentation formats. Today, it has been announced that the brand will rejoin the calendar for Men's Fashion Week in Paris this January.
It's not exactly uncharacteristic for Vetements to make so many changes — in its short existence (since 2014), it had already changed from the womenswear calendar to couture for the 2017 seasons.
The announcement follows the news that Gvasalia's other label, Balenciaga, will be combining its men's and women's shows starting in March.
