Tourneau and Bucherer Unveil Brand New NYC Flagship Store
The luxury watch brands combine their respective American and Swiss backgrounds into one cohesive and immersive experience at Bucherer 1888 TimeMachine.
Luxury watch retailers Tourneau and Bucherer are expanding their presence by opening an all-new storefront in New York City, named Bucherer 1888 TimeMachine. Located on 57th Street, the flagship store boasts a 19,000 square foot, three-story layout, decorated in custom-made crystal chandeliers and a mixture of marble, wood, metal, and other materials that enhance the luxury and ambiance of the space.
“Tourneau has always made us proud since we acquired the company in early 2018,” said Guido Zumbühl, CEO of Bucherer Group. “With one common goal in mind—pleasing and surprising our customers—we have planned the new flagship boutique in a way to take visitors through an engaging and lively experience.”
Set against a color scheme of neutrals, dark hues, and whites, Bucherer 1888 contains nearly 40 brands on display, each one sectioned off and distinctly designed in order to provide customers a unique experience around every corner. A curated selection of artwork is also exhibited in the store, which will be rotated on a continual basis so clients will have the chance to discover new pieces during their visits.
For the first time in the U.S., the Bucherer Fine Jewellery collections will be available for purchase at Tourneau/Bucherer's latest flagship store. Exclusive pieces are also being released for the New York opening, including a Ladybirds Stars of America series and a collection of one-of-a-kind Fleur des Alpes rings.
Additionally, the Bucherer Blue collection is also making its U.S. debut during Bucherer 1888’s grand opening. Featuring the Swiss brand’s signature blue color, this limited-edition collaboration is releasing approximately eight new pieces, two of which are exclusively available in America.
The Bucherer 1888 TimeMachine flagship store is now open at 12 East 57th Street in New York City.
