Tiffany Wonder: Tiffany & Co. Presents Tokyo Exhibition

Tiffany & Co. commemorates 187 years of diamond tradition with a special exhibition in Tokyo that tells the special bond with Japan.

Celebrating the jewelry brand's 187th year, Tiffany & Co. is set to host an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan, which will run from April 12 through June 23. Entitled "Tiffany Wonder," the exhibition will be hosted at the TOKYO NODE gallery located in the Toranomon Hills Station Tower in Tokyo, with scenography curated by the renowned architecture studio OMA. Across 10 rooms, visitors can explore the history and craftsmanship of Tiffany & Co., admiring more than 300 iconic objects such as the first Blue Book, the first Blue Box and the Tiffany® Setting engagement ring. Among the pieces on display are a rare orchid brooch by George Paulding Farnham and the Plumes necklace by Jean Schlumberger. The exhibition concludes with the 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond , mounted in a jewel inspired by Jean Schlumberger's Bird on a Rock brooch.

"Tiffany & Co. has been inspired by Japan for decades, and the Maison's authentic relationship and long history with that region of the world has only grown," explained Tiffany & Co. President and CEO Anthony Ledru. "Our latest exhibition showcases some of Tiffany's most exceptional creations, such as the first Bird on a Rock brooch from 1965, designed by Jean Schlumberger, one of the most talented designers of the 20th century. The exhibition, which highlights Tiffany's exceptional craftsmanship, unrivaled diamond authority and inventiveness, will convey the joy of the House to every visitor," Ledru added. An exhibition aims to intrigue, inform and inspire visitors with a variety of unique creations, from Jean Schlumberger's Bird on a Rock brooch to the famous Tiffany Diamond.
The jewelry brand has a long history of dealings with Japan. Their history dates back to 1837 when Charles Lewis Tiffany introduced imported Japanese goods to his customers. And the Maison's designerssuch as Edward C. Moore, Louis Comfort Tiffany and Elsa Perettidrew inspiration from Japanese arts.

Executive Vice President of Product Alexandre Arnault. "Our latest exhibition celebrates this spirit in a city that is of great importance to Tiffany & Co.: Tokyo,” Arnault added.

On April 11, Tiffany & Co. celebrated the opening of its latest exhibition, "Tiffany Wonder," in Tokyo at the Tokyo Node Gallery. The star-studded bash's guest attendance included Pharrell Williams, Olivia Wilde, and Bruna Marquezine. Each of the attendees graced the event wearing Tiffany & Co. pieces, and the event included a special guest performance from Japanese singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino. 


Starting April 12, the "Tiffany Wonder" exhibition is open to the public. The exhibition allows visitors to view the brand's archival creations and contemporary high jewelry through an immersive visual journey.
