On Friday, Sydney Sweeney wore a literal piece of art as a top to the premiere of her new horror flick, Immaculate. The stunning Balmain top caused a stir as observers marveled at the pair of white ceramic arms embracing the movie star's waist, complemented by a bouquet of matching white flowers forming the rest of the garment. The statement top was styled with a pair of simple wide-legged black trousers and hoop earrings, allowing the artful Balmain piece to stand alone in the making of this iconic red carpet look.

Sweeney was accompanied by her grandmothers to the premiere at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The Anyone But You actress also brought her grandmothers along to her appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last Wednesday and shared that she had the pair cast as nuns in the film.

"They’d never been to Europe. My Grandy’s dream was to go to Italy—she’s never left the country before,” Sweeney said to the late-night host. “They were, like, little old nuns in there.”

In Sweeney's soon-to-be-released movie Immaculate, the actress plays a pregnant nun who travels to an idyllic convent in Italy with the hope of finding solace. Her character soon realizes that the peaceful priory is a place of horrors when “a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors” come to light. The actress also produced the film marking her debut as a producer.

In an interview earlier this month with The Hollywood Reporter, Sweeney revealed that she was working on Immaculate in 2022 while fans of Euphoria were calling for her to delve into horror amid her performance on the second season of the HBO Max series.

"I already had the script so I was really excited to see everybody’s reactions to Euphoria season two and everybody being like, ‘A horror film! Give us a horror film!'” Sweeney told The Hollywood Reporter
