Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2025: Tailoring Inspired by Nature
Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a call to action to address the decline of half of the bird species.
Stella McCarney's Spring/Summer 2025 collection, shown in Paris on Tuesday with a view of the Eiffel Tower, reaffirmed the designer’s commitment to sustainable efforts in fashion. Her pioneering vision is seen in the materials used in the collection, with 91% of those materials being sustainable. These include vegan leather, organic crinkled or organic silk, lead-free crystals, and jewelry sculpted in gold and silver from electronic and medical waste. The show also served as an introduction to the designer’s new iconic vegan bag: The Stella Ryder. The handbags are designed in a curved shape resembling the back of a horse, a nod to McCartney’s favorite animal.
While the collection emphasizes sustainable practices, McCartney also dedicated this special collection to the strong women who have influenced her and become an integral part of who she is. The oversized suits and blazers with a slender cut and charismatic shoulders were an ode to Savile Row and the masculine frame. The sensual knit column dresses and the vintage-style bodysuits were her nods to the European trends this season. The Stella McCartney x adidas Rasant vegan sneakers, inspired by lace-up running shoes, also appeared on the runway alongside her signature cool denim. Below, check out some of our favorite looks from the show.
