After another year of stunning creations from talented young designers, S.S. Daley is officially the 2022 LVMH Prize winner. British designer Steven Stokey-Daley was presented with the award by Cate Blanchett during the LVMH Prize Final ceremony at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. In addition to this esteemed fashion honor, the designer will also receive 300,000 as well as a one-year mentorship with an LVMH brand.

Stokey-Daley is known for his expertly tailored men's garments, many of which challenge stereotypical notions of gender expression in men's fashion. His pieces have been spotted on several of England's young, fashion-inclined celebrities like The Crown's Emma Corrin and Josh O'Connor, as well as mega-star Harry Styles who famously wore a number of S.S. Daley pieces in his "Golden" music video.

Due to the overwhelming talent of this year's finalists, two designers, Idris Balogun and Eli Russell Linnetz, walked away with the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, presented by Olympic gold medalist Eileen Gu, for their respective brands Winnie New York and ERL, the latter of which recently collaborated with Kim Jones on Dior Men's Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Both winners will receive a financial endowment of €150,00 prize and year-long mentorships

Winners were presented with their awards in front of LVMH Group designers Stella McCartney, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Jonathan Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquière, Kim Jones, Nigo, and Silvia
Venturini Fendi, as well as LVMH Group advisor Jean-Paul Claverie, LMVH Fashion Group CEO Sidney Toledano, and Director and Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton Delphine Arnault.

Said Arnault, “I am very happy that Steven Stokey Daley, has won the LVMH 2022 Prize for his brand S.S. Daley. He appropriates the codes of tailoring by playing with the clichés of upper-class English culture. This year, the jury has decided to award the Karl Lagerfeld Prize to the designer Eli Russell Linnetz for his brand ERL who draws from the culture of Venice Beach and his native California, to create joyful, cool and sensual clothes, and to Idris Balogun for Winnie New York, who revamps the codes of a colourful elegance, inspired by the staples of menswear."

Other finalists for this year's awards included Ashlyn by Ashlyn Park, Knwls by Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault, Roisin Pierce by Roísín Pierce, Ryunosukeokazaki by Ryunosuke Okazaki, and Tokyo James by Iniye Tokyo James.
