When John Galliano (then Creative Director of Dior) first sent the Saddle Bag down the <a href="https://video-images.vice.com/_uncategorized/1521569547862-GettyImages-583189848.jpeg" target="_blank">Christian Dior Spring 2000 Ready to Wear</a> runway, no one anticipated the cult-like status it would go on to acquire.

Soon after its debut, the kidney-shaped accessory would infiltrate popular culture thanks to television (Hello, <a href="https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2017/08/carrie-bradshaw-saddle-bag.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=618&amp;h=410&amp;crop=1" onclick="window.open(this.href, '', 'resizable=no,status=no,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,fullscreen=no,scrollbars=no,dependent=no'); return false;">Sex and the City</a>) and celebrity, with <a href="https://www.purseblog.com/images/2014/10/Beyonce-Christian-Dior-Saddle-Bag.jpg" target="_blank">Beyonc&eacute;</a>, <a href="http://img.thedailybeast.com/image/upload/v1492783969/galleries/2013/06/05/paris-hilton-style-photos/paris-hilton-style-7_t0u8vc.jpg" target="_blank">Paris Hilton</a>, and Elle Macpherson as some of its most loyal fans. It became an It Bag in every sense of the word, but like all glorious early 2000s trends, the Saddle descended into obscurity along the way, with only those well-versed in fashion history still wearing it, despite the reduced fanfare.

Then, in a Christ-like maneuver, the bag that once ruled the world was brought back to life, this time by the French fashion house&rsquo;s first female Artistic Director, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/maria-grazia-chiuri-christian-dior-haute-couture-fall-2018" target="_blank">Maria Grazia Chiuri</a>, in her collection for <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dior-fall-2018" target="_blank">Dior Fall 2018 Ready to Wear</a>. &ldquo;I thought this collection would be an opportunity to revive its timeless beauty,&rdquo; Chiuri said in a press release. &ldquo;I consider [this] the perfect accessory to deal with [the] battle that is daily life.&rdquo;

To celebrate its return, we&rsquo;ve gathered 12 of our favorite models of the reinvented Saddle, with an astrological twist. In case you don&rsquo;t know, Christian Dior was a notoriously <a href="https://wwd.com/fashion-news/designer-luxury/dior-milestone-christian-dior-astrology-10996357/" target="_blank">superstitious</a> man who regularly consulted his fortune teller Madame Delahaye. In addition to having his cards read before each presentation, Monsieur Dior also kept up with astrology in a pursuit of knowledge (he was, after all, an Aquarius).

Decades later, the house&rsquo;s flirtation with mysticism is still swinging. For her Spring 2017 Haute Couture debut at Dior, Chiuri presented a tarot-inspired range of gowns. Leading up to the event, Dior launched a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BPm0zVhgYK3/?utm_source=ig_embed" target="_blank">video series</a> where the petites mains who worked on the collection spoke about their own superstitions and star signs. The list goes on.&nbsp;
