Prada Debuts Outdoor Collection with Beach-Themed Pop-Up in New York City Store
The in-store experience brings luxury fashion to your beach day.
Prada braves the elements this summer with the launch of its inaugural Prada Outdoor series, a four-part installation that covering distinguishing climates: Garden, Coast, Mountain, and Snow. To christen the collection's launch, Prada opened the Coast pop-up shop at its New York City store featuring beach-ready attire and accessories to bring an added dose of luxury to your next coastal getaway.
Upon entry, visitors are immediately greeted by makeshift lifeguard stands boasting the Prada insignia in neon lights. Mannequins sporting beachwear are scattered throughout the store, accompanied by brand-emblazoned pool toys. One display showcases a dome-shaped beach tent and folding chairs, offering an entire vacation party reprieve from the sand and heat.
The collection includes not only a selection of outdoor accessories like sporting equipment, poolside inflatables, beach furniture, towels, cushions, and lunch sets with sandwich boxes and water bottles, but also a chic line of ready-to-wear clothes and accessories that you'll need in your closet this summer. In line with the brand's vintage personality, the Prada Outdoor collection includes sleek and sophisticated striped pieces, crochet tunics, printed blouses, crystal-encrusted white t-shirts, and an elegant chiffon slip dress, as well as terry cloth accessories like headbands and handbags. As it's also summer, what would a beach collection be without a group of wicker bags as well.
For men, the reimagined bowling shirts and Bermuda shorts maintain the '50s feel of the brand. The printed button-downs offer an elevated version of your dad's floral shirts, while sweatshirts and bomber jackets are also available to keep you bundled up on those windy, beachside nights.
The Prada Outdoor pop-up in N.Y.C. will be open until June 20. The installation will then travel to Prada stores in Beverly Hills and Miami, as well as Neiman Marcus Northpark in Dallas
