Spring/Summer 2021 Trends from Paris Fashion Week
Occuring at such an unprecedented time in the world, Paris Fashion Week has already been full of inspiration. Halfway through the week, L’OFFICIEL looks at some of the top fashion trends for the Spring/Summer 2021 season.
Color-Blocking
We saw so much experimentation with color this season, but pinks and reds were definitely having their moments.
Big Shoulders
A fashion favorite in the ‘80s, the power shoulder is continuing to make its comeback under different aesthetics. For those wanting to go slightly boxy or amply padded, consider adding a little volume up top.
Safari Aesthetics
The safari theme was front and center in Kenzo’s nature-driven collection—mosquito net and utility pockets galore—but there were nods to destination in other shows. Among Patou’s dreamy, French creations were long, khaki coats, and an airy, pocket-clad shirtdress made an appearance at Chloé today.
Updated Neons
Halloween is around the corner, and ‘80s neon disco attire is calling our name. But the Spring/Summer 2021 collections have shown a range of ways to wear these hues day-to-day, from head-to-toe monochrome to artsy graphics.
Strappy Sandals
The strappy sandal has been a warm-weather wardrobe staple for years and—whether in a block heel, stiletto, or platform—the runways show its here to stay.
