There's no better time to be in the city than the onset of New York Fashion Week. As entrancing as the bright lights of cameras flashing, the click of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/slingback-heels-to-shop" target="_blank" rel="noopener">heels</a> down the runway, and the tightly packed runway schedules are, NYFW also brings with it plenty of calendar changes, location swaps, and new designers, making for a week as exciting as it is confounding.&nbsp;
After the official CFDA calendar was released just a few weeks ago, editors, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/plus-size-models-reshaping-fashion-to-know" target="_blank" rel="noopener">models</a>, and fellow designers alike were surprised to see several names both missing and present.
Opening NYFW in style, Ralph Lauren is slated to host its Spring/Summer 2025 runway presentation in the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/where-to-shop-in-the-hamptons-usa-summer-2024-new-stores" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hamptons</a>, rather than its past venues, which have been quintessential NYC landmarks. &ldquo;The Hamptons is more than a place. It&rsquo;s a natural world of endless blue skies, the ocean, green fields, and white fences, rusticity and elegance with a quality of light that drew artists here decades ago. It has been home, my refuge and always an inspiration,&rdquo; said Lauren in a statement on the decision to&nbsp;<a href="https://wwd.com/fashion-news/designer-luxury/ralph-lauren-returning-to-the-runway-sept-5-exclusive-1236475045/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WWD</a>.&nbsp;The show is on the calendar for September 5, and while the specific venue has not yet been revealed, chances are, it'll be a perfect embodiment of the label's core values and DNA.&nbsp;
Beloved label and classic <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/celebrities-spotted-at-nyfw-fall-winter-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NYFW</a> presence Puppets and Puppets hosted its final Ready-To-Wear runway show last season in New York, but for fans of the brand, don't fret just yet&mdash;the label is showing accessories during London Fashion Week during an exclusive presentation.
Although it has been absent from the NYFW for quite a few years in favor of showing in Paris, Nanushka is back to the city at last, so fans of the Hungarian brand and newcomers alike can expect an enthralling Spring/Summer 2025 collection. However, as one exciting brand touches down in the city, another one jets off. This season, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gabriela-hearst-fall-winter-2024-nyfw-show-runway-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gabriela Hearst</a> has opted to showcase its Spring/Summer 2025 collection during Paris Fashion Week with what is sure to be an ultra-chic runway presentation as per usual, and while we're excited to see what innovative new pieces the designer debuts, New Yorkers are sad to see the label go for the season.&nbsp;
In another exciting turn, Off White has given up its usual slot during Paris Fashion Week for an equally buzzy NYFW show. &ldquo;Bringing Off-White to New York has been on the cards for so long,&rdquo; said the label's creative director, Ib Kamara, in an interview with&nbsp;<a href="https://www.vogue.com/article/off-white-ib-kamara-coming-to-new-york-fashion-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vogue</a>.&nbsp;&ldquo;Now the time feels right to show up. It feels natural to grow and show where so much of the community around the brand is. I think it will be amazing and feel great for Off-White to show for the first time in the city.&rdquo; The brand, created by the late visionary genius, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/virgil-abloh-most-iconic-runway-moments-off-white-louis-vuitton-men" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Virgil Abloh</a>, is a fan favorite each season, and there's no doubt in our minds that the label's debut NYFW show will prove just as brilliant as past collections.&nbsp;
Although not scheduled during the official NYFW calendar, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/giorgio-armani-interview-ibiza-summer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Giorgio Armani</a> is making an appearance in New York, forgoing its typical Milan slot, for the runway presentation of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Scheduled for October 17, the label has opted to align all of its major autumn events for one historic day in New York. Coinciding with the highly-anticipated presentation is the opening of the label's brand-new building, which houses a new Giorgio Armani storefront, residential spaces, Armani/Casa, and Armani/Ristorante.&nbsp;&nbsp;
For now, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/helmut-lang-fall-winter-2024-runway-images-nyfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Helmut Lang</a>, Proenza Schouler, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/thom-browne-fall-winter-2024-haute-couture-runway-show-review-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Thom Browne</a> remain unlisted on the official calendar, which begs the question, where will these ultra-cool brands show this year? Runway shows off of the typical NYFW schedule could be in the cards, but so too could presentations abroad. For now, all New Yorkers can do is wait and see where these acclaimed labels opt to show for the Spring/Summer 2025 season.&nbsp;
