Versace is known for making memorable supermodel moments, and didn't disappoint this season with the return of new mom Gigi Hadid.

Gigi Hadid stole the show at Versace&#39;s Fall/Winter 2021 virtual runway. This is the supermodel&#39;s first runway appearance since stepping back from modeling&nbsp;due to her <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/gigi-hadid-pregnant-expecting-zayn-maliks-baby" target="_blank">pregnancy</a> last year. In September 2020, Gigi&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/gigi-hadid-zayn-malik-first-family-photo-baby-girl" target="_blank">gave birth</a> to her first baby girl, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/gigi-hadid-daughter-name-zayn-malik" target="_blank">Khai</a>, who she&nbsp;hopes to keep out of the public eye until she is old enough to make her own choices regarding her visibility. Versace&#39;s maze-like world was the perfect place for Gigi to make her return to the runway. She showcased&nbsp;two stunning looks while rocking long auburn locks.&nbsp;

Donatella Versace is known for orchestrating memorable supermodel moments, from reuniting Gianni&#39;s favorite models for Spring/Summer 2018 to spotlighting <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/donatella-versace-curvy-models-milan-fashion-precious-lee-jill-kortleve-naomi-campbell" target="_blank">three plus-size models</a> last season. This year, she focused on developing a nuanced adaptation of&nbsp;Versace&#39;s signature <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gianni-versace-designer-history-medusa-bondage" target="_blank">La Greca motif</a>. The physical space in which the models walked is meant to reflect the sharp geometric&nbsp;angles of the new Greca. This slightly abstracted rendition of the symbolic pattern appears on bags, skirts, coats, and more. It connects both men&#39;s&nbsp;and womenswear through its embodiment of Versace&#39;s new code of enhanced communication.&nbsp;

In womenswear, designer Versace focused on minimal&nbsp;silhouettes with cliched waists, A-line skirts, and rounded shoulders. Through moving away from statement shapes, she&nbsp;allowed the new Greca&#39;s&nbsp;energy to shine&nbsp;through each piece. However, the collection did not stray away from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/maximalism-fashion-trend-covid-19-gucci-valentino" target="_blank">maximalist</a> ideals altogether. Versace&nbsp;also&nbsp;included&nbsp;bold sheepskin outerwear, embroidered&nbsp;denim, metal mesh dresses, and embellished harnesses.&nbsp;Similarly, menswear highlighted intimate tailoring with pieces that sensually hugged the body,&nbsp;and experimental materiality with the&nbsp;use of lurex thread, shiny vinyl, and matte wool. The Fall/Winter 2021 runway&nbsp;also introduced a new&nbsp;graffiti Medusa smiley that champions the brand&rsquo;s sense of humor and rebellious character. It is clear that this collection is about giving a new life to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gianni-versace-designer-history-medusa-bondage" target="_blank">Versace&#39;s cherished brand&nbsp;signatures</a>.&nbsp;
