Gigi Hadid stole the show at Versace's Fall/Winter 2021 virtual runway. This is the supermodel's first runway appearance since stepping back from modeling due to her pregnancy last year. In September 2020, Gigi gave birth to her first baby girl, Khai, who she hopes to keep out of the public eye until she is old enough to make her own choices regarding her visibility. Versace's maze-like world was the perfect place for Gigi to make her return to the runway. She showcased two stunning looks while rocking long auburn locks.

Donatella Versace is known for orchestrating memorable supermodel moments, from reuniting Gianni's favorite models for Spring/Summer 2018 to spotlighting three plus-size models last season. This year, she focused on developing a nuanced adaptation of Versace's signature La Greca motif. The physical space in which the models walked is meant to reflect the sharp geometric angles of the new Greca. This slightly abstracted rendition of the symbolic pattern appears on bags, skirts, coats, and more. It connects both men's and womenswear through its embodiment of Versace's new code of enhanced communication.

In womenswear, designer Versace focused on minimal silhouettes with cliched waists, A-line skirts, and rounded shoulders. Through moving away from statement shapes, she allowed the new Greca's energy to shine through each piece. However, the collection did not stray away from maximalist ideals altogether. Versace also included bold sheepskin outerwear, embroidered denim, metal mesh dresses, and embellished harnesses. Similarly, menswear highlighted intimate tailoring with pieces that sensually hugged the body, and experimental materiality with the use of lurex thread, shiny vinyl, and matte wool. The Fall/Winter 2021 runway also introduced a new graffiti Medusa smiley that champions the brand’s sense of humor and rebellious character. It is clear that this collection is about giving a new life to Versace's cherished brand signatures
