German Gymnastics Team
The German artistic gymnastics team stood out by changing the traditional leotard for pieces with pants in order to reduce the sexualization of their bodies and bring greater comfort to the team.
“It was particularly important for us to set an example with our appearance to encourage other women and especially younger athletes to wear what they feel most comfortable with!” revealed Sarah Voss, one of the team members, on her Instagram account. “This can be the beloved short leotard or the long suit. We, gymnasts from the German gymnastics team, reserve the right to decide, depending on the situation, in which we feel most comfortable at the moment!”
Rayssa Leal in Nike
At just 13 years old, skateboarder Rayssa Leal showed that she has a lot of grit in the sport and a powerful style. In addition to taking the silver medal home, the Brazilian athlete wore a Nike look that lines up with today's top trends.

Liberian uniforms signed by Telfar
The Liberian team's uniforms were designed by Liberian-American designer Telfar Clemens, founder of the powerful Telfar brand. The 70 pieces created by the stylist were genderless and brought a lot of style to the event.
