Michael Kors Unveils New Madison Avenue Boutique in NYC
The American fashion label opened doors to a new spot in the city's ritzy shopping area, marking a new concept for its Collection storefronts.
Michael Kors has a new store in New York City.
The American fashion label opened doors to a Michael Kors Collection boutique on Thursday. The storefront replaces an old location, just a few blocks away, and is located at 667 Madison Avenue. The boutique is designed to blend luxury features with a sense of cozy. The retail floor spans 2,800 square feet and features 14-foot-high sculptural ceilings with a neutral-hued palette of wood, marble, and metal.
“New York City is my home, and I’m very excited to bring our new vision to a new location on Madison Avenue," the designer himself said in a press release. "The store’s interior has a welcoming feel, a sense of luxury and refinement that offers you a chance to step away from the speed of city life and take some time to discover something new.”
Located at the corner of 61st Street and Madison Avenue, the new location will showcase an assortment of Michael Kors Collection handbags, accessories, footwear, and ready-to-wear pieces. Other highlights from its interior includes a Modernist mobile by Brooklyn artist Max Simon and a Noguchi lamp illuminating the shoe salon. The exterior of the boutique mirrors its interior with tall, minimalist windows that flood the space with natural light and provide clear visibility from the street.
The location is now open to the public, offering an elevated shopping experience for fans of the Michael Kors Collection.
