See Louis Vuitton's New 'League of Legends' Collection

Calling all gamers! Louis Vuitton has released a new capsule collection with popular multiplayer battle game League of Legends. The collaboration, which was designed by the house's womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière, seamlessly brings together classic Vuitton silhouettes and styles with the colors and themes of League of Legends. If you've been looking for a playful way to spice up your penchant for the brand's heritage prints, this may be perfect.

The 47-piece collection features quite a variety of different pieces, including an eye-catching metallic jacket, a watch, and several athleisure items, like leggings and jogger pants. The Louis Vuitton mini backpack bracelet makes an appearance, and while we haven't spotted a League of Legends-themed AirPods case yet, we will be sure to report back if we do.

Dubbed LVxLOL, many of the pieces feature a new camouflage-like Louis Vuitton signature print, inspired by a character from League of Legends, Qiyana. Reenvisioning iconic Louis Vuitton silhouettes, like the Archlight sneakers and Neverfull tote, the League of Legends collaboration still feels distinctly like LV. Ghesquière’s design stays true to the most crucial elements of Louis Vuitton pieces but explores colors, patterns, and shapes that provide a refreshing twist on classic styles.

The intersection of the luxury fashion and gaming worlds isn’t a new one—Moschino x Sims and Prada x Final Fantasy are just two recent collaborations between high-fashion houses and gaming giants. And LVxLOL goes deeper than just the clothes—the collection also follows a pack of in-game Qiyana Prestige skins designed by Ghesquière in October 2019. The skins, which players could use to dress their characters, were available for around $10. In January 2020, players can enjoy another pack of LV skins, this time for Senna.
