Kate Middleton Channels Princess Diana at 'No Time to Die' Premiere
The Duchess of Cambridge sparkled last night in a gold, sequin-covered gown.
Kate Middleton made quite an entrance at the premiere of the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die, at London's Royal Albert Hall last night. The Duchess of Cambridge was seen on the red carpet in a gold-sequined Jenny Packham gown with delicate beadwork and an eye-catching cape.
Middleton’s gown was reminiscent of a dress worn to another Bond film premiere by a member of the royal family: Princess Diana. The late Princess of Wales attended the A View to Kill premiere while wearing a stunning metallic gown by British designer Bruce Oldfield in 1985.
Featuring a similar silhouette, V-neckline, and shimmery effect, Middleton’s dress alludes to the one worn by her late mother-in-law in a subtle, yet elegant way.
Besides the No Time to Die premiere, Middleton has paid homage to Diana multiple times in the past, including wearing the late princess' favorite tiara and her three-strand pearl bracelet. Middleton's sapphire engagement ring also belonged to Diana, which the princess reportedly selected herself from a Garrard catalog.
Middleton was accompanied by her husband Prince William, as well as her in-laws Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, on the red carpet.
