Winter is fast approaching, and who says the cold means the return of the eternal woolen hat. Though the accessory brings a touch of style to our look and keeps us warm, it has the disadvantage of often messing up our hair when we take it off. Indeed, after contact with wool, the hair becomes fragile. The hair fiber tends to deteriorate due to friction and we become a victim of the unfortunate phenomenon of static electricity, not to mention the loss of volume at the roots. To counter these disturbing—and, let's face it, very unsightly—effects, hairstyling professional Gianni Coppa slipped some ingenious tips to L'OFFICIEL. Follow this guide.

To Stay Styled in All Circumstances...

Before putting on your beanie, place your part opposite to its usual side, then put on your hat. When you take it off, put your part back in its usual place. As if by magic, your hair will not be flat or disheveled. This little trick certainly sounds simple, but it turns out to be devilishly effective.

Small Essential Everyday Action

According to Coppa, brushing hair morning and evening to remove pollution, products, and deposits is a fundamental part of any routine. To do this, the hairdressing specialist recommends using a pneumatic boar bristle brush.
At night, he recommends using Nigel Oil—a natural, vegan night cream—which is ideal for deep hydration. For optimal use, it is applied directly to the brush so as not to overload the hair fibers.
