Harry Winston Unveils Stunning New Additions To Their Emerald Collection
Honoring the American jeweler's favorite cut for gemstones, Harry Winston's latest timepiece collection is a testament to supreme craftsmanship.
Harry Winston's new additions to the Emerald timepiece collection honor Mr. Winston's favorite cut for gemstones—the emerald cut. The three new watches each feature an octagonal case with 53 brilliant-cut diamonds set onto the dial's case. The diamonds set on the case amount to 0.45 carats.
The brand's history with the emerald cut started with Mr. Winston's passion for re-cutting and setting rare estate jewelry that needed a new life. Harry Winston was introduced to jewelry while working for his father's jewelry store in New York City's West Side. Winston started his jewelry house in 1932 and built a reputation as one of the city's finest jewelers. Trusted by the upper echelons of society, including famous gemstone collectors like Maharajah of Indore and the Duchess of Windsor, sought out the jeweler's expertise.
The emerald cut soon became a signature motif of Harry Winston's creations. The beloved cut is seen throughout the house's collections. From engagement rings to necklaces, the beautiful geometric pattern is inescapable.
The captivating emerald green models showcase a heart-shaped depression at noon crowned by an emerald-cut green stone. The bright gem is accompanied by three smaller stones at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. These stones and the 40 smaller diamonds accompanying them are set on elegant mother-of-pearl dials, giving the pieces a sleek and feminine look. The candy pink dial is set with whimsical cabochons framed by 20 brilliant-cut diamonds, with a white gold Harry Winston logo placed at noon. Each of these three watches comes with two strap options. The pieces can be worn with tasteful double tour straps, the green in satin straps, and the pink in calf-skin straps, or they can feature Milanese mesh bracelets made of 18K white or rose gold.
The classic and timeless look of these timepieces is in keeping with Harry Winston's reputation for intricate craftsmanship as well as meticulous and detail-oriented design. His other watch collections, including The Premier Collection and The Ocean Collection, serve as a testament to the brand's knack for bringing unmatched glamor to watchmaking.
