An east coast summer is set as Gucci collabs with Melet Mercantile  in Montauk debuting July 3rd.

It&rsquo;s looking like Gucci will be summering in Montauk, New York this year. Calling the east coast home for a three-week pop up destination, Gucci will be hosted by coveted &lsquo;insiders&rsquo; vintage shop and globally recognized local Montauk Outpost, Melet Mercantile. This collaboration aims to celebrate a mutual love for uniting communities by transcending decades, cultures, and values. In the spirit of summer Gucci x Melet Mercantile brings a new and unexpected experience to the east coast, that would not be possible without the support of icon Bob Melet and the Montauk fixture.

Melet Mercantile Montauk Outpost is a quintessential destination for locals to get their hands on exceptionally rare vintage finds from art prints to vinyl records to books that are carefully sourced from the corners of the world by founder Bob Melet himself.

Montauk&rsquo;s laid-back surf culture will take a walk on Gucci&rsquo;s whimsical wild side. The Gucci x Melet Mercantile pop up will feature a highly-curated selection of Gucci merchandise highlighting the Towards Summer collection, as well as a medley of vintage goods from Bob&rsquo;s personal collection. Together these elements will create a sense of intrigue and curiosity that animates the unique space.

Utilizing materials such as straw matt, wicker, and canvas, this playful selection encompasses a large range of categories including women&rsquo;s and men&rsquo;s ready-to-wear, handbags, accessories, shoes, jewelry, childrenswear and more, the Towards Summer collection spotlights effortless warm-weather dressing.&nbsp;

The distinct store concept and visual treatment were designed exclusively for the Montauk space. Dusty Blue walls and fixtures adorned with Melet&rsquo;s signature wall-mounted fish and vintage skateboards are complemented by ornate clothing rails and floral prints from Gucci&rsquo;s PreFall 2019 collection.&nbsp;

Furthermore, Gucci will support a slew of local restaurants including John&rsquo;s Drive-In and Morty&rsquo;s Oyster Stand, to offer an array of treats to make the shopping experience that much more tantalizing as well as contributing to organizations such as A Walk On Water, Concerned Citizens of Montauk, and the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation.&nbsp;

Gucci x Melet Mercantile will be open from July 3 &ndash; July 28, 11am &ndash; 6pm daily. It is located at 102 Industrial Road in Montauk, New York as the Montauk community welcomes their guest of honor, Gucci, with open arms to Gucci x Melet Mercantile summer 2019.
