Gucci Celebrates Legacy By Relaunching Horsebit Fine Jewelry Collection
Gucci's signature Horsebit fine jewelry collection turns 20 this year, and the brand is celebrating by relaunching the timeless collection featuring the design that has come to define the House.
As a brand with a longstanding connection to the aesthetic themes and lifestyle of the equestrian world, Gucci's Horsebit design has been a signature piece for decades. The emblem has become a symbol of the House itself, representing the timeless elegance and singular design that Gucci is associated with.
The original Horsebit design was first introduced at the end of the 1940s, and the motif reflected Gucci's interest in equestrianism. By the 1950s, the Horsebit motif appeared on handbags, belts, and the Horsebit loafers that have since become one of the brand's most recognizable designs.
In 2004, Gucci first released the Horsebit fine jewelry collection which featured the classic Horsebit emblem on necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. Upon its initial launch, the fine jewelry collection became a signature and fundamental piece in Gucci's legacy with jewelry.
Today, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original collection, Gucci is relaunching the Horsebit fine jewelry collection with new, symbolic flair. The relaunched collection features necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings in either yellow gold or rose gold with diamond accents.
The yellow gold pieces in the collection include three necklaces, three bracelets, one ring, and two earring sets. One necklace features a statement Horsebit pendant available in two different lengths while the other is in a lariat style. The rings and earrings in yellow gold are sculpted with the classic motif in mind, using the already rounded shape of the ring and earring to display the Horsebit design prominently. A cuff bracelet allows for repetition with interlinked Horsebit emblems.
The rose gold and diamond pieces include a necklace, two bracelets, two rings and two earrings. Delicate chains allow the double-ring-and-bar emblem to take center stage in the necklace and one of the bracelets, accented with a sparkling diamond. The rose gold rings are available in either single or double-band styles, and earrings are also available as either studs or pendants depending on preference.
