Glenn Martens, the creative brain behind fashion label Y/PROJECT, has been announced as Pitti Uomo 95's guest designer. Following suit with guest designers from past editions, rather than showcasing his collection in Paris during fashion week, Martens will debut the Y/PROJECT Fall 2019 collection at the men's fashion convention in Florence instead.

“Glenn Martens has created a new aesthetic language with Y/PROJECT driven by contradictions, in which chic is combined with extravagance and eclectic references, while streetwear elements are enriched by historical and couture touches sometimes out of scale; a conceptual design, which has already entered into sync with the most advanced parts of the market,” said Lapo Cianchi, Pitti Immagine Director of Communications and Special Events. “Glenn is a designer who expresses an acute sense of humor, with a vision of fashion that is extremely personal, where there is room for the freedom to dress as you like, experiment and have fun—without raising barriers of any kind.”

In case you needed more convincing that this news is truly everything,  reacquaint your self with Martens's work, specifically this pair of thigh-high Ugg Boots, that became the talk of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2018 and even received a stamp of approval from Rihanna herself.

Pitti Uomo 95 is set to take place from January 8–11, 2019.
