The fashion world is in mourning. Since Virgil Abloh's family shared the sad news that the Off-White founder and Creative Director of Louis Vuitton menswear passed away on November 28, 2021 from a private battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, friends and colleagues of the 41-year-old designer have shared the many ways Abloh touched the lives of those that knew him, and anyone who admired and appreciated his work.

As the first Black designer to helm a major luxury house, and assume a creative partnership across LVMH's (Off-White and Louis Vuitton's parent company) brands, Abloh will be remembered as a trailblazer in the industry. In tandem with fashion, the Chicago-native explored the interdisciplinary connections of music, pop culture, interior design, and more. His last collection for Louis Vuitton, titled Virgil was Here, will be shown in Miami on November 30 and will celebrate his remarkable impact on fashion and beyond.

The tributes made in honor of Abloh by fellow designers, supermodels, and more reflect the commitment, passion, and endless creative pursuit that will forever remain Abloh's legacy.
