Everything We Know About Metaverse Fashion Week

Stay on top of everything going on during the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week on the Decentraland platform.

After the pandemic, we all got used to following the virtual shows of fashion week. It turns out that the fashion market is evolving at the speed of light, and what once seemed to be the future is already happening. All of this and more is happening on Decentraland, the platform that hosts the first virtual fashion week.

From March 24 to 27, Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) features fashion shows, immersive experiences, shopping, lectures, and even after parties.

With over 60 brands, artists, and designers participating, MVFW is an event that represents a lot for the global fashion industry. We can look forward to this trendy event's luxury fashion and digital-native brands, including their highly disruptive wearable collections, digital spaces, and innovative activations.

Metaverse Fashion Week is also organized by UNXD, the luxury marketplace responsible for developing NFTs. The marketplace launched an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana NFT collection, presented in September, and sold for $5.7 million.

Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Saab, Hugo Boss, Guo Pei, Etro, Dundas, Cavalli, Paco Rabanne, Hogan, Ferocious, The Fabricant, Auraboros, and more have all been confirmed as part of the line-up.

For MVFW's Lead Curator David Cash, the perfect way to describe the event is to "present fashion in every way possible," from runway shows to retail experiences, fashion as art, film, photography, and even in ways that extend beyond the confines of reality—like the metaverse. You can dress your avatar and take a spot in the A-row of the catwalk since everyone is a VIP in the Metaverse.
